Halloween Party time!

Welcome all who have come from
Fanciful Twist blog!
This is the Halloween Party
of the
Twisted Witches!

They live at the end of
Mystic Trail
You may see some spirits
floating by as you proceed.

When you get to their cottage
you will find it full
of many mysterious items.

They have many "pets"
and oddities under glass!

And sometimes if you look close,
tid bits on the shelves
make look back at you!

You might think these sister were
witches,
and you might be right!

But don't expect Uncle Herbert
to answer any of your questions.
He's been a bit under the weather
for quite some time!

Time to leave, so soon!
Be sure to stop and visit with the
long past relatives.
They love to have "lively" conversations!

Boo! for now!

P.S. I forget to tell you to stop by Fanciful Twist
to see her fabulous party!

Well, it finally cooled off here
only in the 40s today!
But the transition from freakishly warm
to normal cold
led to a storm and a beautiful rainbow!

I haven't seen a full rainbow like this one
in a long time!

It was pretty distinct and bright.

But very hard to get a good shot of,
you can just see it behind the tree.

It's starting to fade in this pic.
They never last long enough for me!
Bye for now!

Feels like Summer, Looks lik Fall

Last weekend the autumn colors were peaking here
in Minnesota.
So we went for a walk at a nearby park.

The colors are really wonderful this year,
but the temperatures have been
more like summer!

It was in the 80s that day,
and had been for a week or so!

It just felt surreal to see
fall leaves and feel summer warmth!

I do love the leaf peeping!

Thrifty Finds

I scored some great fall and winter things
at the thrift recently.
Check out the plastic pumpkin,
turkey salt and peppers,
and the amber glass fairy lamp.

And I found some tartan fabric
that I can use for
winter Posh Posie Pins!

Another lovely Posie

What I love about this new Posh Posie Pin,
is the tapestry fabric
and the beads that accent the chain.

Plus, for something feminine
I added a piece of stiffened lace.

I think it has a steampunk look to it,
and yet is very feminine.

Come see it at my shop!

Easy Peasy Crock Pot Applesauce

I just made my first applesauce of the fall,
yum!
But this time I used my crockpot
and it couldn't have been easier!

Ingredients:
8 to10 cooking apples pealed, cored and cut into chunks
1/2 c. water
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c. to 1 c. sugar (this is optional,
I didn't use any so I can use it in baking recipes,
and it was sweet enough for me)
Directions:
Put ingredients into Crock pot. Cover; cook on Low 8 to 10
hours or High for 3 to 4 hours.
I put into clean glass jam jars and store in the frig.
That's it! Easy peasy and oh so good!

Bye for now
