More Painted Jewelry

I guess I've gone a little crazy with the nail polish lately,
ever since I painted an old rhinestone bracelet.
I had another rhinestone stretch bracelet
that was not that sparkly,
so I decided to do it rainbow colors.

I love how it turned out!

Then I painted some boring silver pins that I had.

It's nice to have more colorful pins to wear now!

Bye for now!

Mom's embroidery

Here are some beautiful examples of my
late mom's embroidery.
She embroidered dish towels for me
a long time ago, and I've used them for many years.
I've been meaning to cut them out of the towels
and preserve them some way,
and once my mom passed I really felt it was overdue.
So I put them into embroidery hoops
and hung them on the wall in my studio.
I will take a pick of them hung soon.
I hope you enjoy them.
My mom was so talented, I just had to share!

Thrifty Finds

My latest finds at the thrift are so exciting!
I found this vintage dress in the most fab floral!
It's too big, but I plan on altering it
or making it into a skirt.

Then I found some great fabric
and a fun vintage pattern.

This pattern even has an embroidery
transfer!

What I Wore

Last weekend was so nice,
I was excited to wear this outfit!
Skirt, beads and vintage blouse: thift
Purse and pin: vintage
 Sandals: Target

My girl and I did matching toe nails.
I love doing polka dots!

Later in the day we spent some time outside.

I had the door open to let in the breeze
which Smoke thoroughly enjoyed!

And we went up to the top of her play fort
which I call the tree house.

We stayed long enough to enjoy the sunset.

I love a good sunset!

Spring Evening

The same night we went to the carnival
it was so beautiful that we went out to the back yard.
The sunset was incredible!

And my girl was having fun in her play area,
swinging on the ladder.

And working on her trapeze skills.

I believe this is the nest of our resident squirrels.

So glad we got out and enjoyed the
lovely spring evening!
Bye for now!

School Carnival

Last Friday we went to the school carnival
and this is what I wore:
Skirt: made by me
Top and shoes: Target
Belt: Deb
Necklace: thrifted
We got there at the start,
so it wasn't too busy yet.
My girl played lots of games including the fishing game.

And the rubber duck race.

And of course, her favorite is the bouncy house!

Spring Walk

The weather has been so beautiful lately
just like spring!
So the other day the hubby and I went for a walk
at a local park.

We used to live really close to this park
and I would take my little girl for walks there
when she was still in the stroller.
It was so great to get back there,
can't wait to go back when there is more green!

 Bye for now!

Thrifty Finds

Sometimes I don't find a lot at the thrift,
but what I find is so special it doesn't matter!
I mean check out that owl napkin holder
and Hallmark tin!

I'm not sure if you can see it,
but there is a calico fabric that shows through
the plastic, I just love this owl!
And he's in perfect condition, for just $2!

I don't know for sure if this tin is vintage,
or just used images of vintage fabric.
Either way I couldn't resist it for 40 cents!
My favorite is the bird above.

Bye for now!
