The Bunny Book

This is one book from my childhood
that had a huge influence on me!
My sis and I loved this book so much
we tried to reconstruct the bunny village ourselves.
And I think we did a pretty good job,
I wish I had a pic of it to show.

The colors of the flowers and leaves
were so enchanting!
 And of course,
these fall leaves are my favorite!
And who wouldn't want to live
in one of these little cottages....
to ride out a snowy winter?
 And, the best for last..
a beautiful sunset,

 And a rainbow!
Bye for now!

A New Mixer and Halloween Decor

Recently I purchased this lovely stand mixer
and I love it!
So far I've used it for cookies and cupcakes
and I can't wait to try bread!
I picked the color "persimmon"
because I use a lot of orange in my decor.
I've also been decorating for Halloween.
I thought I'd share some of my
favorite decorations.
First is "witchy poo"
our animatronic witch that we've had
since the 90's
It's my girl's favorite decoration for sure,
she's the one that named her witchy poo!

I've got my birdcage filled with
jack-o-laterns this year.

And topped with a crow!

Another jol on top of the fridge!

 Bye for now!

Fall Tree Transition

This tree in my backyard just gets prettier and prettier,
as fall proceeds.

 It looks especially gorgeous
in the morning!

And here's a sunset shot too,
because I love a good sunset!

Thrift Store Find

 I found this recording of
the Charlie Brown Halloween special
at the thrift, I was so thrilled.
It has a booklet inside the tells the story too!

It was apparently used at a daycare,
and was played a lot.
But it still sounds great,
no skips or anything!
 Love that Snoopy!
It's pretty fun to listen too,
but I especially love the illustrations.
Bye for now!

Found at Target

 The dollar section at Target
is full of some great little finds.
Like these sweet stamps as $1 each!
 And this Halloween set
which is missing the skull,
I gave that to my daughter.
And the new tissues are so adorable!
 Foxes!
Bye for now!

Peppermint

This book from my childhood is
"Peppermint"
with illustrations by Raymond Burns.
I loved any books about cats
when I was little,
so this was definitely a favorite!

Walk in the Woods

The other day me and hubby
went to one of my favorite parks
to walk.
The trees were still mostly green
and it was in the 70s.

The tree below was really huge around.

 This tree was damaged somehow,
it kind of looks like a heart shape
in the middle don't you think?
Bye for now!

Embroidered Pillow Kit Finished!

A little while ago I found this vintage kit
at the thrift store.
I didn't get to it right away,
and in the mean time I found this pillow.
After seeing the colors in it I decided to use
different colors for my kit pillow.
Now the colors coordinate with the vintage
mushroom pillow!
I also made it round,
though I'll admit it's not a perfect circle
Oh, well.
I still love how it turned out!

Bye for now!
