I've Been Featured on Modflowers!

I'm happy as a lark to be featured on the wonderful blog, Modflowers!
Because she is writing from the UK, I thought it would be a good time
to offer my shop items to any one who lives across the pond.
I have thought about doing this for a long time,
but to be honest I've been scared!
So now I making the leap, and will send to the UK and Canada to start,
will see how it goes.
Please go and check out her lovely blog and shop!
Bye for now!

Dyeng for Color

I was kind of behind on Easter eggs this year
and forgot to buy the box of dye tablets.
Then I remembered you can use food coloring
like you use for frosting.
And I have to say, it works way better!
You just use boiling water, vinegar,
and 20 drops of food coloring,
(the directions are on the box)
easy peasy!
The colors are so rich and bright!

Hope you had a great Easter!

Bandana Skirt Reborn

I finished the restyle of the vintage bandana print skirt,
and I'm very happy with the results!
With a few tucks and a zipper it became my new favorite!
I really love it with the black boots and sweater.
Skirt, jean jacket, blouse, and belt: thrift
Boots, tights, tee, and cardi: Target
Vintage pin and purse

Sewing Projects

I've been meaning to do some sewing again,
and finding new patterns always makes me
itch to get going.
The pattern above I found on Ebay,
I've already made a muslin,
now I just have to pick out the fabric I want to use
and start cutting!
The pattern below I found at the thrift,
would be so cute with some mod fabric!

But first I decided to fix this vintage skirt
I found at the thrift some time ago.
It needs taking in and a zipper, and
probably shortening!
Update coming soon!
Bye for now!

Signs of Spring

 Spring is finally here,
and I know this because I'm seeing more of the bunnies!
And we have had our first sighting of Mr and Mrs Duck
who show up every year at this time.
 Cute couple don't you think?
Last week was kind of insane,
with my girl being sick with a very bad stomach flu.
I'm so happy she's doing better now,
I have a tendency to worry too much
and fear the worst,
and I'm thankful when the worst doesn't happen.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

My dear daughter has been sick, poor thing,
so blogging is hard.
But we did get some cookies made before that.

Flower Show part 2

These first two shots my daughter took with her camera,
she is a great photographer!
Me and hubby below.
Then I took one of her.
She also took this great shot of
stained glass in one of the skyways.

We were wondering around the skyways
from building to building.
The ceiling here was so pretty!
And this is a Wells Fargo Bank,
love this art deco interior!
Later we went to Barnes and Noble,
the downtown one is our favorite!
Bye for now!

Macy's Flower Show

I'm so happy we made it to the
flower show at Macy's in downtown Minneapolis.
It was so nice to see and smell the
signs of spring!

 Tulips and daffodils!

And these adorable little English Daisies
that look like mushrooms from a distance!

They had great topiaries like this chess piece!

A lots and lots of color!

They also had huge lanterns hanging over head!
Hope you enjoyed this shot of spring.
Bye for now!

They would be perfect for spring jackets,
and Easter dresses!
Here are two new cute weather house pins,
 one in pink and yellow
and one in blue and yellow.
These are both in my shop now!
Hope you can check them out!
And don't forget to check out my Facebook page
