 I almost passed up this vintage craft book 

when I saw the cover art,

but the title grabbed me since I love applique.

I'm glad I looked inside, 

just take a look at some examples....

Pumpkin Carving

This years pumpkin carving went very well,

my girl did the carving all by herself!

And she grown so much since last year,

I can't hardly believe it!

Crazy Chenille Cats

 I made these cute Halloween cats

using the method for my pumpkins.

I just added little ears and a tail,

and some button eyes and yarn whiskers.

I think they turned out pretty fun!

New Chalet Pin for Fall

 I've got a new style of chalet pin in my shop

that is a tad bit smaller than my first chalets,

but still has lots of details, 

like the deer and tree.

It also come in great fall colors!

I will be making more in the size in the future.

I'm working on ideas for Christmas pins to, 

like a Christmas cat

and a Christmas gnome!

Candy Corn Pumpkin Tower

 Last week I decided to make a candy corn tower 

out of pumpkins to go in my kitchen!

 I had some fake pumpkins that I had from 

past years that were white.

 I cut a hole in the bottom of the middle and top pumpkins,

and then painted in the candy corn colors of  yellow,

orange and white.

Since they were going in my birdcage, 

all I had to do was stack them on top of each other.

But if was going to set them on the ground or a planter,

I would probably use a long dowel to hold 

them all together.

Candy Corn Bunting

One of my latest crochet projects was 

a candy corn bunting.

I decided to hang it in my kitchen,

which led me to decide to do yellow and orange 

colors in the kitchen.
