New for Ebay.... Quoth the Raven

" The raven" is one of two new collages on Ebay. In this one I use the mirror with the silver scratched off to give the ghostly look. I really like that effect!
The second is "warts and all" done for a challenge for UHAT, an ebay group I'm part of. I used a silhouette for this one, love silhouettes! Bye for now!

Time for a change!

Well, as you may have noticed, (at least I hope you noticed) I have changed my banner and the name of my blog and business. I had been toying with the idea for some time, but when I found out I was going to be a vendor on the wonderfully exciting Lollishops site, I knew now was the time. I'm so excited about the opportunity and wanted to make a fresh start. I've been working on some colored pencil drawings of cats, bat, owl, and crows for Halloween and really loved how they turned out. Especially the ones dressed as humans. I think I am going in a new direction with my work, using my drawing skills more, adding it to the mix of collage and mixed media and jewely that I already do. I don't think I'll be doing as many fairies anymore (although I never say never). I need to keep stretching and growing. Ok, I get bored easy! But I've always loved colored pencil, so now I can do it more. I hope my customers will embrace my new items, and that I might get some new interest. Thanks to everyone who has been with me so far! Bye for now!

Wedding bells

Finally getting these posted! The wedding of my husbands best friend and business partner Dean, was two weekends ago. As you can see, Sabrina loved getting dressed for it! Below is Dean with Sabrina and Rob's dad, Bob.

There is the wedding party with Dean and his new wife Tammy. And Rob was best man.

I know, they look like they are leaning, but it's just and optical illusion.

A good time was had by all, Rob made a toast/speech and Sabrina danced just about every song! Even if she didn't have a dance parnter! Bye for now!

More goodies for sale on Ebay

New items are now available in Ebay for Halloween. This is a cat pendant, two sided and soldered with silver gleem. The cat is hand drawn by me. There is a little black feather on the back side too.

This is "the bat" collage, with hand drawn bat.

The new fairy is in her "bat castle" and has lots of spooky sparkle!
There is a clear bubble at the bottom that says "bat" and lots of silver glitter embellishment.
Last, but not least, is "merlin the owl" collage. He has a 3d effect, and vintage pearl earring and black millinery flower at the top. Please check them out at Ebay if you can! Bye for now!

New Halloween on Ebay!

Here are my first listing for Halloween on Ebay! First we have the shadow box show above. It features a "bat fairy" with a hand drawn bat in the background. This is probably my largest fairy creation yet. Below is a raven collage in a vintage frame hanging from vintage black rosary beads and a vintage earring.
Next is a hand soldered pendant with and hand drawn owl that I altered to give it a man's body. It's double-sided too, with the words "mr. wizard" on the back. I used small mirrors that I scratched some of the silver off for a ghostly effect, instead of regular glass.
Last is a collage done with the original owl drawing done in 3d with crepe paper, lace, netting, millinery, an earring and of course glitter! Please check out more detailed pictures on the listings at Ebay! Bye for now!

Sabrina at her summer dance class

Sabrina has been going to a introductory dance class once a week, for the last couple of months. As I saw how much she was enjoying it I decided we had to get her into the winter class that goes from Sept. through May. I also decided she needed proper dance clothes. She sure looks the part! Below she is doing her stretches.
She just loves twirling of course!
The last part of class is tap dance. Wish I could take the class with her! Bye for now!
