What I Wore

We definitely have more snow now so I decided it was time to bring out the winter boots. I got these at Target for Sabrina, but they fit me too, so I borrowed them for the day. I'm also wearing a new skirt I got on clearance at H&M. I was looking for a red plaid skirt but blue plaid is cute too!
Skirt and rings: H&M
Blouse and belt: thrifted
Tee, tights and boots: Target
Coat: Old Navy
Necklace: made by me

I got these rings for Christmas and I love them!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve

It's almost Christmas and I'm enjoying all my decorations, music and food. We are even getting a little snow today, though I'm not sure it will last.

One of my most precious ornaments is this angel that my mom had since she was 2.

And here is a picture of it on the tree back in 1922. That makes this angel 93 years old! She looks pretty good for her age.

Are you in th Christmas mood yet?

What I Wore

It was actually more like December this weekend, though we still don't have any snow, so I decided it was too cold to take pics outside. I wore my new grey dress with a white shirt and red belt. Plus I added snowflake and star rhinestone pins for holiday glitter.
Dress and tights: Target
Shirt and belt: thrifted
Pins: vintage

And here is a shot of my phone case with  a Christmas card insert.

Vintage Christmas Wrap

Time to show of some of my favorite vintage Christmas gift wrap, I never get tired of looking at it. It brings back many memories of childhood Christmas celebrations.

Aren't they just wonderful!

What I Wore

I just love this skirt I got at H & M, so I brought it out again to wear for another balmy winter day.
Strange weather when I can wear a jean jacket a couple of weeks before Christmas!
Jacket: Thrifted
Skirt: H & M
Boots, purse, and tights: Target
Necklace: made by me

I made this necklace from a little cloche and deer that I got at Micheals on clearance. I love how it turned out.

The Countdown Resumes

Okay, I know I'm behind on my countdown here on my blog, but I have been doing well with it on Instagram. So if you follow me there, @happyasalarks you'll see all the pictures I am taking.

Above are two of my Christmas wreaths, the top one is the one I crafted last year with a vintage Merry Christmas sign. And the bottom one I found at the thrift.

Mushroom ornaments I made for my white tree last year.

I added lights to that tree this year and I love how it looks!

Santas dancing on my kitchen shelves.

And pretty vintage baubles of silver.
Bye for now!

Nordic sweater, jumper, leggins, and boots: Target
Mittens: Old Navy
Purse: thrifted
Necklace: can't remember

Christmas Countdown Reindeer

Today is reindeer on the countdown so I'm starting with my favorite from my childhood. It was made by Herman Pecker. He looks adorable on my vintage log candle holder.

I believe I found this rubber reindeer toy at an estate sale, isn't he sweet?

For some reason all these vintage plastic reindeer are missing the same antler, but they are still lovely.

I made this Christmas ornament last year using a Bon Mamon jar lid and vintage bits.

And of course, there is my reindeer pin, who is still waiting patiently for a home in my shop.
Tomorrow is wreaths, so I'll see you then!

Christmas Countdown 2

Yesterday I started a Christmas countdown and then I found a great list on Instagram from @jenniferperkins fot #craftykitschmas so today is the Christmas tree. Here's my white tree this year.

I think it gets better every year! This year  I added lights and I'm so happy with how it looks.

Tomorrow the theme will be reindeer.
See you then!
