Around the House

 Here's a peek at a little project
I've been working on.
And lately I've been spying on a fledgling bird
hanging out by our window.
 And, oh yes,
another great sunset!

What I Wore

Skirt: made by me
Tee: Old Navy
Sandals: Target
Purse: vintage
I made a new skirt to add to my collection,
using this book.
I used the directions to make an a-line skirt
with an elastic waist and added pockets!
Oh, I love having pockets!
I didn't have a belt to match (will try and make one
someday), so I used green ribbon for now.
The fabric is a vintage sheet.
I love how it fits, not too much gathering.

New in My Shop

I've added a new kitty pin to my shop,
this time in a summery green floral with
daisy spots and lace boots.
I really love him,
hope you do too!
Check him out here!

Below is a pic my customer sent me
of the brown floral kitty pin!
Doesn't it look adorable on a handbag?!

Bunnies at Play

The bunnies have been making lots of
appearances lately.
They especially like to hang out
in the play area sand.
It's so cute when they roll around in sand,
I hope I can get a pic of that some time.

Thrift Store Finds

 Found at the thrift:
some great vintage fabric cut up for quilting,
and a vintage felt bird ornie kit.
The felt birds laying on the kit are
actually ones that I found in the past.
I realized when I saw the kit it was for this
style of bird, so I was excited that I could make my own now!

at a thrift store the other day.
Nice quality and pretty colors.
This sweet pin, below,
was found at an antique store
but I got it for a thrifty price,
only $2!
Can you believe that!

Nellie

This was one of my mom's favorite books!
It doesn't say who did the artwork,
which is a shame,
as it is just wonderful!

I especially love the little girl's face in the art below.

 And of course,
Nellie the horse laughing,
below.
That was Mom's favorite part of the book!
