Me Made Challenge
Coming up in May I will be taking part in the Me Made Challenge. It is a way to challenge yourself to wear your hand sewn, crocheted, knitted or upcycled clothes more. It is the brainchild of Zoe and I've decided it would be a great way to push myself to wear my hand sewn items I may not have worn in awhile and to make something new. I haven't quite decided what to make yet, but will let you know as soon as I do. Wish me luck!
Bye for now!

Spring Walk
It's been cold and rainy here lately, but last week was beautiful. So my daughter and I went to Palmer Lake Park for a walk. Ever since this tree was cut down I've wanted to get a picture, so I had her stand on it to show the scale. I miss that tree, but I guess that's life.

What I Wore
We had a lovely day with just a bit of a cool breeze, so I wore a dress with a cardigan and my new purse I found at Target. I really love my vintage purses, but for practical purposes I really prefer a cross body handbag. Much easier on my shoulder and I can be hands free.
Dress:H&M
Purse: Target
Belt and pin: made by me
Shoes and old cardi: Old Navy
Here's a close up of the magical thinking eye lapel pin I made for myself. I hope to get one made for the shop as soon as I work out a few kinks.

What I Wore
This weekend was so beautiful and so warm that I was able to wear a more summery outfit than springy. It was hard to believe that just last weekend it was more like winter! I was in a blue mood, so I brought out one of my blue floral skirts.
Skirt, blouse and belt: made by me
Sandals: Old Navy
Enamel daisy pin and purse: vintage
Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend.

Shop Update
Finally it's starting to feel like spring around here, so I've made some fun lapel pins inspired by the great weather!
A happy sun in a bright shade of yellow.
A puffy cloudy with a smile on his face!
And a rainbow so colorful and cheery.
They would look great alone or clustered together! If you're already thinking of Mother's Day ideas these would be perfect; so why not head over to my shop! Bye for now!

What I Wore
Sorry I was kind of absent last week, but right after my cold got better I got hit by allergies. Plus I really didn't have much to blog about, so there is that. I did color my hair though, it is nice to have it a lighter shade again.
I really wanted to wear one of my new H&M dresses, but it was cold again, so I made it work by layering, layering, layering! Hopefully next time I wear it I won't need a coat!
Dress and white blouse: H&M
Moto jacket, red long sleeved tee, tights: Target
Neck tie: vintage
Shoes: Old Navy

What I Wore
We were back to cold weather on Saturday ( as in 30s with a windchill in the 20s), so I paired my rose print dress with a white blouse, black ribbed tights and a warm weather jacket. My daughter wanted to go shopping so we headed to the mall, but she didn't find anything. I found two cute dresses at H&M though, that I can't wait to show off!
