Black and White and Halloween all over

Guess I'm really in a black and white frame of mind! And I guess you can tell that I love silhouettes. I found these wonderful black chalkware frames last year about this time and decided to make my own Halloween silhouettes for them.
Thought I would do a vampire and a witch. I think they turned out pretty well, and had so much fun making them. Hard to photograph though.
This year I'm still on the silhouette kick, and had fun making some tags with them. I use these for the items I sell on Ebay, to decorate the packages. I'm just about done decorating for Halloween, so will take some pix soon. Bye for now!

Sweet and Sinister Swap

Decided to show what I sent to my swap partner, Denise, for the "Sweet and Sinister Swap"put on by Artsymama. We were supposed to do something sinister and sweet in black and white(or cream) with touches of orange. Something must be handmade and something home decor. I found some great Halloween scrapbook papers and some fun Halloween napkins with polka dots. I also got some Halloween candy for the "sweet" part. Then I threw in a little zippered pouch in a black and white brocade and matching pen, and a pearl initial for her first name. Then for the handmade part I made these little peat pot baskets, you see below. I painted them and decoupaged, and added vintage poker chips that I drew a bat, crow and witch. I embellished them with vintage crepe paper and black tinsel stems for the handles.
I also made a feather tree fairy for her. She's got old lace for a collar and holds a tear drop pearl. Hope she really like everything! What a fun swap!! Bye for now! :)

Three little fairies say boo!

Cupcakes for Halloween!

Managed to get two collages done for this week for Ebay, something a little different! These feature Halloween cupcakes with vintage recipes in the background. The first on has a recipe for "Black Devil's Food" cake. I drew a picture of a chocolate devil's food cupcake with orange buttercream frosting and a witch hat cake pick. The vintage frame was painted cream and embellished with black loop braid and little black plastic bingo chips with pumpkin faces on them.
The second one is a recipe for "Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting", so I drew a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a candy pumpkin for decoration. I added baby black ric rac and bingo chips with silver glittered stars to the frame.
I also added clear german glass glitter to the cupcakes frosting. Have to add a little glitter, or it wouldn't be finished! Hope you like them! Well, back to work!! :)

Set of three fairies and collage

Here is a set of three fairies I did for Ebay this week. I decided to do them in the ritzy fashion, like my last two fairies.
Love this little guys hat and I gave him a pumpkin scepter.
This one has a necklace of silver and pearl beads, plus a black velvet collar with silver glitter.
Gave this one a crown and a teardrop pearl to hold.

This collage is called "October Fairy Queen", and I embellished the frame with cream ric rac and silver glittered stars. There is a more closeup version on ebay and flickr. Hope you like these and will check out my auctions. Bye for now! :)

Charmed I'm Sure

These are charms I did for Angela's "Charmed I'm Sure" swap I'm in. They are two-sided bubble charms, with silver soldering around the edges and s-shaped jump rings. It was pretty hard getting the hang of it at first, but I really love it and want to do more. Maybe I will even try and make some to sell, will see! Bye for now!

First grade here we come!

This is one happy kid!! She has been so excited about school starting, she could hardly wait! And, luckily, Daddy was home so he got to see her off. The only problem was that the bus was late..... realllly late! I tried to take a "pretty picture" of Sabrina, but she was getting really grumpy. So, forget that.
These are just some Halloween tags that I made for packages. Still waiting for the weather to turn to fall here, can't wait! Bye for now!

Ebay fairies and the end of summer

Oh so glad that fall is coming, although you'd never know it when you look at the temp. outside, 90 degrees today and tomorrow! And the last week was a real winner. First I got food poisening, and then when I started to feel back to normal, my allergies started to kick in. But the worst part was that my Mom fell and went to the hospital. She is 86 and still lives alone, but had been planning on moving in with my sister for part of the year. But she was in her house and got up in the middle of the night, when she fell. She fractured her pelvis in two places, and unfortunately it was a long time before she was found. It's frustrating for me to live to far away and hear that! The good news is that with therapy and rest she will get better, but it just proves that she can't live alone anymore. I'll be so happy when she finally moves into my sis's place.
Helps to concentrate on my Halloween fairies, and I got these two done to list on Ebay. Decided to try something a little more glitzy and glittery. I love rhinestones and pearls, and crowns too. And I added a glass bubble to one, really liked the affect. Well, hopefully this week will be better, and it will feel like fall soon! bye for now!
