Butterfly fairies for Etsy

Here are some new butterfly fairies that I did one in pink tone, one in purple and one in blue. They should be on Etsy later today or this evening. I really tried to add lots of fun little features like the water can that the pink one is holding. And I tried to come up with some different hats, such as the jester style on the blue one. Hope you like them! Bye for now! :)

Hat box collage for Etsy

This is a collage made of a paper mache hat box, painted blue and cream with polka dots. I added some polka dot ribbon with a vintage button at the end to hang it with. It's called, "I'm a little teapot"and has cream ric rac and cream vintage crepe paper ruffle for a hat band (you can see it in the last pic). And it has lots of clear german glass glitter. I will be posting it on Etsy later today, so check it out if you can! Bye for now! :)

My Etsy shop is now open!!

Well, I finally got some things done for Etsy, and my shop is up and running! So please check it out when you get a chance. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable there yet, as I am more used to Ebay. And I still plan to do Ebay, but I wanted to try this and see what happens. I hope to reach new customers and offer another option for my old customers. Anyway, I got a bee in my bonnet (tee hee) and decided to use my grapevine baskets to hold some little bees. I reaaally enjoyed making these. And, I'm working on some butterflies for my next batch. Well, bye for now!

A pretty girl is like a melody

Yesterday, Sabrina suddenly decided she wanted braids! So I put them in and she was thrilled! It was fun to do, and nice to see her in something new. I used a different pic of her to make a collage for my mom. I think she'll get a real kick out of it. I used a metal frame that I got in the $1 section at Target, and then painted and collaged and embellished it.

This is an oatmeal canister that I couldn't bear to throw away, it was so sturdy. I figured I could use it for storage, but had to gussy it up a bit first. I use a lot of black and cream in my house, so this will work great. Well, back to work, bye for now! :)

Last Day of School

Oh my, the last day of school was Wed. the 6th, and I just can't believe her first year went by so fast! It was a busy morning, I started out trying my hand at bookbinding some things for her teacher. But I had just gotten the hang of it when they told me there would be a fire drill. They had to get one more in before the end of the year. So I got to follow Sabrina's class outside for the drill. Then we came back in for ice cream sundaes which I helped to prepare. It was about time to go by then, but I had to make sure to get some pix of her with her teachers. The top two are Sabrina and her teacher Mrs. Carstens. The bottom one is with the teacher assistant, Mrs. Johnson. They were both so nice and did such a good job with Sabrina, I couldn't thank them enough!! Now it is time for summer and swim classes and workshops at the library. Anything to keep her from getting bored! Well, bye for now!
P.S. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up! I plan on opening an etsy shop very soon! So watch here for updates!! :)

Wow, this has been a crazy week, with not enough sleep! So I'm writing this as I yawn, hopefully I make sense! The pix are an order I did for dear Rosanna, a set with her name and a cake pixie. Today was a girl's day out, since my hubby is on a trip. Usually we spend Saturdays together as a family. We went to McDonalds (Sabrina's fav) and then shopping at Target for flip flops. And we went to an estate sale where I found a bag of birthday candle holders and a black and white silhouette portrait of a girl. Will have to post pix of my finds later this week. Well, time for bed I'm afraid. Bye for now! :)
