A Goulish Gathering!

Last weekend was Sabrina's Halloween Party, and a good time was had by all! Here are all the girls sitting at the table, Sabrina is sitting by the window. Her costume was Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
Here are the treat bags I made, I used a cauldron shape for the names.
I used streamers and vintage honeycomb tissue balls above the table.
We had cupcakes (with witch hat toppers I made) and cookies.
The colors were black and cream with orange accents, with witch and spider accents.
I layered a black paper plate over an orange one and trimmed the edges with decorative scissors. I used the napkins as placemats too and made napkin rings our of plastic spider rings.
Everything went pretty well, but it really wore me out! Don't think I'll be doing another party for awhile! Bye for now!

Star of the Week and Gap tooth grin!

Sabrina was "Star of the Week" this week and got to do a poster for it! She had so much fun makng it! At the end of the week, she had to go in front of the class and do a show and tell with it. Then all the other students each wrote a letter describing what they liked about it.
That's not all the big news though, she lost another tooth! Boy is she happy! Bye for now!

Haunted houses and Fall colors

Well, we made our annual trip to the haunted house at the pumpkin farm, it wouldn't seem like fall if we didn't. Every year I take this picture of Sabrina in front of the house, and she sure has changed!
And I always get the shot with the witch stew cutout!
The farm gets more elaborate each year, so it never gets old, although, Sabrina said the haunted
house isn't as scary as it used to be!
Then we headed to Stillwater, out little river "antique" town. I've always loved this place, here is a view of one of the old buildings on main street.
After much antiquing, Sabrina was tired, so we stopped at a Starbucks (they put it in an old building so it would blend in) and she got to lounge a bit.
After that, we walked along the riverside to look at the beautiful fall colors. It was such a perfect
day! Sabrina took some pics with the camera and I thought she did very well! Hope you are having a great fall too! Bye for now!

Ebay Update

This is a new version of Tabitha the cat for Ebay, this time she is a Halloween fairy. I did this collage in a vintage metal frame I painted black. Tabitha is a colored pencil drawing that is embellished with silver glass glitter. The background in altered with colored pencil and black glass glitter.

The collage hangs from a length of black rosary beads with vintage millinery flowers and vintage rhinestones for accents. Hope you like it! Bye for now! :)

Applejack Orchards

This year we decided to try our hand at apple picking, it was Sabrina's idea, but it was something I've also wanted to try. We found a great orchard, called Apple Jack orchards. Sabrina loved it, although you never know it from the picture below! Actually, she was just mad at Daddy for telling her her bangs were in the way.
But after some apple picking, she was really having a blast! Look, 4 feet tall!
The barn in the background is where the gift shop and cafe are. We liked being able to eat there, so convenient.
Here are some of the apples we picked, Harrelson and Fireside. Yum! Bye for now!! :)

Tabitha the Witch

My latest creation, was inspired by a box from a set of markers. It folded upon itself and made a nice little stage, so I decided to use it for this "Tabitha the Witch" shadow box.
She's all dressed in her crepe paper and netting dress with a black flocked flower and she has her best jack-o-lantern basket and broom.
I added a little fence and lots of black glitter for sparkle. Hope you like it! Bye for now!
