What I Wore for a Summery Day

I've worn this skirt many times before, 

but I've never worn it with this vintage cobbler apron. 

I think they go together very well.

I didn't have to wear the cardigan for very long,

it got up to 80 degrees!

Spring Walk

 There's nothing like a beautiful spring day to take a walk

in our favorite park. I love how the trees sort of have a green glow!

And the first wild flowers are starting to show.

 

 If only every day could be this perfect!

 As you can see, I'm making good progress on more heart pins.

They looked so pretty sitting on my table, I thought I would 

get a shot of them,with a few little swallows added in.

Personalized Pins

 

I'm so excited to show off my newest shop item, 

personalized heart pins! 

 I was inspired by rockabilly tattoos.

The first one I've listed is in blue gingham, 

and I will be making more in other colors.

I think these would be great with the name of a shop

or a blog. I've just shown a few examples,

but there are lots of possibilities.

What I Wore

I just found out that April is normally one of the windiest months

here in Minnesota! And that is why, once again I'm indoors

for my photos. I just hate trying to take pix, when the wind is

blowing! My hair is all over the place, and the skirt goes flying up!

I decided to use red accents with my rose floral dress,

and cardigan for warmth. But I think the next time I wear it

I will be trading a sweater for sandals. It's supposed to get much

warmer this week. Soon I may have some pix of blossoming trees

to show you!

More Wildlife Sightings

Last week it was a wild turkey, 

this week we saw a hawk in our back yard.

It was so exciting!

 

 He did some hunting while he was here, 

and had a little snack by the fence.

I just love seeing wild life so close.

Especially in my own back yard!

but then I have always been partial to daisies!

Spring Turkey

 Spring is definitely making an appearance,

the willow tree is covered in pretty green buds.

We finally got some much needed rain the other day,

so the grass is greening up, the ducks are back,

and cardinals are making a nest near our back yard.

Of course, I wasn't expecting to see a turkey in my back yard!

We have seen a flock of wild turkeys in the area,

but I was a little surprised to see this lovely lady

 peering through my office window.

She didn't stay long, 

but I did manage to get a few good photos.

And then she flew over the fence!

What I Wore

Ah, it was one of those days that felt like spring 

and winter at the same time.

Warm in the sun, but with a cool wind!

So layers were called for:

While I really love the warmer weather, 

we really could use some rain.
