Time for a change!

Well, as you may have noticed, (at least I hope you noticed) I have changed my banner and the name of my blog and business. I had been toying with the idea for some time, but when I found out I was going to be a vendor on the wonderfully exciting Lollishops site, I knew now was the time. I'm so excited about the opportunity and wanted to make a fresh start. I've been working on some colored pencil drawings of cats, bat, owl, and crows for Halloween and really loved how they turned out. Especially the ones dressed as humans. I think I am going in a new direction with my work, using my drawing skills more, adding it to the mix of collage and mixed media and jewely that I already do. I don't think I'll be doing as many fairies anymore (although I never say never). I need to keep stretching and growing. Ok, I get bored easy! But I've always loved colored pencil, so now I can do it more. I hope my customers will embrace my new items, and that I might get some new interest. Thanks to everyone who has been with me so far! Bye for now!

Thanks so much Kari! I really appreciate your comments! Sometimes it's scary to change things, even if you know it is for the best. :)

I think it's great to keep growing in your art. Here's to the new. I hope it is wildly successful.

I changed my flickrname from loca.mama to violetskies. At some point, I am going to open my etsy store and this will be my name. Though I am considering another store wtih recycled art but I haven't chosen a name for that yet. I guess I'm getting ahead of myself since I haven't gotten #1 started let alone, #2. Sorry to ramble on.
