Rippling Crochet

 I decided to update an old throw pillow,

by crocheting a cover in ripple.

 I really love how it turned out!

Spring is Bloomin'

 Everything is blooming at once in the yard,

like the crab apple tree...

 the azalea...

 and of course the lilacs.

I picked a bouquet of white lilacs

and tried it out in the living room,

 and the bedroom.

Looks pretty everywhere!

Around the Yard

 Lots of blooming out in the yard,

like our new little lilac bushes.

I was a little surprised that they bloomed 

the first year!

 It's been very rainy lately,

but I'm not complaining,

after last summer's drought.

 Pollen from our maple tree.

 My thrift store luck came back this week!

First of all I found some wonderful fabrics,

At the Park

 This was our best day ever

at the park.

It was a beautiful 75 degrees!

 It is really starting to get green.

 And the little violets were blooming

in the shady areas.

 But best of all I finally got a pic

of one of the deer we often see.

Is It Spring Yet?

 Well, the trees are finally starting to leaf out,

and the temps have stayed about 50,

so I guess spring is here?

We went for our walk in the park,

with our girl and her bicycle in tow.

There she is pedaling along.

 Her and I also spent sometime in the back yard,

especially in the tree house,

which is really the play area, 

but I feel like I'm in a tree house when I'm in it.

 I did a little crocheting....

 while a robin serenaded us....

 and my girl took in the view!
