Visible Monday

Here is the dress I was working on
for my latest sewing project.
I used this vintage McCalls  pattern.
Unfortunately this may be the last thing
I will so for awhile as my machine died!
It started making a plastic burning smell,
and than it just stopped working!
I'm quite disappointed as I haven't used it that much,
and now this.
 Dress: made by me
Vintage blouse and denim jacket: thrifted
Tights and boots: Target
Pin and purse: vintage
Linking to Visible Monday!
Bye for now!

Oh no! Time for a replacement sewing machine then. I love the dress, and pairing it with the yellow blouse is genius, aren't those cuffs fabulous? Of course I love the denim jacket too, no surprise there! xxx

I think that outfit is quite lovely! So sorry to hear about your sewing machine, though--I was just using mine today and I would be very sad if it died on me!

I love this dress...and I hope you get the machine situation figured out soon.

Thank you everyone, I'm afraid that it may be awhile before I can get a new machine. Money is pretty tight right now.

Oh no, what a catastrophe! at least it made something incredible before it died! That dress is gorgeous, love the yellow blouse beneath it, too! xxx

Ah, thanks Vix! that makes me feel better! I was relieved that it waited until my dress was almost finished to die! All I had left was the hem, and I'm used to doing those by hand! :)

Love your dress - especially with the denim jacket. Sorry to hear about your sewing machine!

Thanks Lana! I'm pretty happy that I finished it. Hopefully I'll be able to sew again someday soon! :)

Love brown, blue and yellow. Every time! So cute, but such sad news about your machine. I see a new one in your future soon. You will only have to lean hard on your loved ones just a little! You need this.

You always make me smile when I stop by for a visit! Your sunny yellow blouse adds the perfect pop of color with the rest of your look. Really cute!
