 Not too much to find at thrift,

that are like new, never worn.

The Easter Bunny?

Just before Easter we got a an early visit

from the Easter Bunny and his friends.

Well, actually, they are our resident family of bunnies.

But we've never had them come up

so close to our downstairs windows!

Smoke (in the pic above, to the left) was thrilled!

Easter Cookies

Easter cookies are my favorite holiday cookies

because I love the pretty spring colors.

 

I tried a little marbling this time,

dotting different colors of frosting

and then swirling them together.

 

And then adding a generous dose 

of sugar and sprinkles.

Downtown Minneapolis

After we went to the Macy's Flower Show

we headed to the downtown Barnes and Noble.

I do love the energy of a big city.

 

My girl and I like to hang out by the big windows 

and watch the world go by.

Macy's 2012 Flower Show

 Every year we have gone to the flower show at the Macy's

in downtown Minneapolis.

This year the theme was Brazil!

The toucan in the picture above 

was actually huge!

It was so amazing!

Lots of bright flowers in hot colors!

 

There was even a little water feature!

It's hard to see in the photo, 

but there's little water falls going over rocks

into a little pond.

 

The lighting in the show area is very dark,

so it was hard to get good pics of me and my girl.

This was the best one, not too bad.

As you can see, she recently got glasses.

She doesn't have to wear them all the time,

which is good as I think she isn't that thrilled.

More Painted Jewelry

I guess I've gone a little crazy with the nail polish lately,

ever since I painted an old rhinestone bracelet.

I had another rhinestone stretch bracelet

that was not that sparkly,

so I decided to do it rainbow colors.

 

I love how it turned out!

 

Then I painted some boring silver pins that I had.

 

It's nice to have more colorful pins to wear now!
