Estate Sale Finds

 I hadn't been to an estate sale in awhile,

but this is a good time of year for them.

This wasn't the best one I've ever been too, 

but I did find some crochet thread and vintage felt.

Still can't find the elusive ric rac or embroidered ribbon, though!

Family Walk

 We had our first walk together as a family 

in quite awhile.

It was a perfect day for it.

What I Wore

 I finished the vintage cape I altered,

by removing the fringe, hemming, 

and changing the buttons.

Cape, blouse and bracelet: thrift

Leggings, sweater dress, boots,

tee, hat and purse: Target

Leaf pin: vintage

I took a thrifted vintage belt

and altered my black purse,

so I could wear it cross body.

The bit I didn't use on the purse,

I made into a bracelet.

My Week

 More gorgeous fall colors.

This has been an especially good year!

 We've had a cat visiting this week.

Such a pretty cat, but I think he is feral.

Usually when Smoke see another cat outside 

he goes bonkers!

But for some reason he doesn't mind this visitor.

 Worked on altering a vintage cape to wear this weekend.

 Our crabapple tree had changed colors this week. 

So pretty!

 and squirrels gathering food.

My Favorite Fall Activity

 We (me and my girl) took a walk in my favorite park last week

and we took a little side path out of curiosity.

Well, that turned out to be a great decision,

because we ran into a deer!

 And then two more!

 Of course, I couldn't stop taking pix of them,

they were so kind to stand still.

I think they are pretty used to seeing people.

Oh, how I love a walk in the fall,

it is one of my favorite things!

Especially when I can do it with 

someone I love.
