Sorry I'm late with this update, but I wanted to wait till I added something to my Etsy shop. First, are some sketches I've done.  Had lots of fun with my art lately.

What I Wore

I recently bought this ringer tee at H&M and even though it wasn't warm enough to wear alone I couldn't wait to wear it. So I layered it over my vintage mod blouse and a black skirt. And of course, my moto jacket went perfectly with it. I think this jacket is one of my best purchases of the last couple of years as I wear it over an over!

Society6 and Etsy Updates

 There are two exciting things I wanted to update you on, well, three really! Recently I was featured on Lindsey's blog, Have Clothes Will Travel. which was so flattering and thrilling. I've been a follower of her blog for some time now, and I hope you will check it out. I mentioned that my Etsy shop is in a state of limbo as I've been trying to decide what I want to do with it. One thing I thought I might do is sell some original art, as at this time it is only possible for me to sell prints on Society6. What I Wore

We celebrated Valentines Day over the weekend by trying out a new restaurant, and I got a chance to try out my very first sushi ( though I kind of wimped out and only had veggie, no raw fish). It was pretty good! And my daughter granted me the privilege of taking her picture, see below.

Sketch Update and Society6 Sale

Time once again to catch you up on some of my latest paintings. I always have to fit in a cat in one of my drawings of course.

And I'm always working on improving my people painting skills, so I did a little self portrait of me at Barnes and Noble.

I love how this painting of herbs turned out. It was a part of a drawing challenge.

This painting of Alice falling down the rabbit hole is for an art challenge called the Fairy Tale project! Such fun!

Science Museum and 16th Birthday

On Saturday, we went to the Science Museum of Minnesota to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. We try to go once a year, and we really love it! There were a few new things, like this cool video globe that change scenes every few minutes. But one thing that didn't change is the giant astronaut.

I hope they never get rid of him (or her), he is the highlight of the museum for me!

Another feature is the staircase that plays music when you go up and down. Pretty cool, although it does get a little old after awhile. 

And here is the birthday girl with her cake, chocolate of course! 16 candles!

I can't believe it's been 16 years since she was born! How time flies!
