Eagle Landing

The other day, we a wonderful surprise. A bald eagle decided to perch on our back yard fence for about an hour! This isn't something that happens every day I'll tell you! I have seen them fly over the fields behind our house, but never on our fence.

The pic above is the best I could get from my phone camera, but luckily my daughter has a better camera. So the other pictures are much better.

We just couldn't get over the size of his talons and those eyes! So intense!

I think he was looking for prey in the grass behind our fence, and eventually he jumped down to the ground for awhile and then came back up and flew off. So I think he did get his supper after all. We've seen a lot of wild life in the past few years, but this was one of the coolest so far! Hope you enjoyed seeing these photos too. Bye for now!

Holy moly! That is amazing! I don't believe I've ever seen a bald eagle that close outside of a zoo. How cool that he stopped by your backyard. :)

Thanks Lindsey! I still can't believe it myself! If I didn't have photos I would think I'd dreamt it! :)
