What I'm Working On

 I found some great vintage patterns

when I was antiquing the other day.

They were all about $1 a piece!

 And I've already started sewing, 

I couldn't wait to try this super cute skirt!

 And, I made some more shorts,

using a pattern I got off of Ebay.

Finished Painting

 I just finished the painting that I've been working on,

so here it is!

I'm calling it "Midsummer Forest".

I think it's my favorite painting 

of all the paintings I've done.

 I love how her hair turned out!

Studio Tour Continued

 This is my sewing area in my studio.

My Blythe girls look so cute there!

 I have spools of thread in the little drawers.

 My mom's embroidery looks great here above my sewing machine.

What I'm Working On

My latest project is a painting.

I've had this large blank canvas just sitting 

in a corner.

I couldn't figure out what to paint,

until I decided to do something with a forest 

and animals.

With a fairytale feel to it.

This is a peek at the progress.

I also finished the embroidery I started

from a vintage kit.

I really love it!

And I finished the vintage kit with the kangaroo,

it is going in my daughters room.

Isn't it cute!

 Oh, yes!

It was 50% off at my thrift store last Thursday

so I got all the things you see in these pics for...

$6.71!

To start with I found two great craft books.

This is the sewing book, I just love it!

And here are some pics from the crochet book.

 I really want to make a butterfly pillow!

And, another vintage pattern

and some thread.

 Last but not least,

a marvelous afghan.

 And, what I thought wan an afghan 

but is really a poncho!

I will show pix of how it looks

as a poncho later. 

It will be great for fall!

 This is one of my favorite vintage books,

"Somebody Hides"

This is one of the books I've saved from my childhood.

 It's also a "fuzzy wuzzy" book,

so there is flocking on the little the little girls sweater

on every page that you can see it.
