What I'm Working On

 As you can see, I'm making good progress on more heart pins.

They looked so pretty sitting on my table, I thought I would 

get a shot of them,with a few little swallows added in. 

I should have more listed in my shop soon!

Personalized Pins

 

I'm so excited to show off my newest shop item, 

personalized heart pins! 

 I was inspired by rockabilly tattoos.

The first one I've listed is in blue gingham, 

and I will be making more in other colors.

I think these would be great with the name of a shop

or a blog. I've just shown a few examples,

but there are lots of possibilities.

What I Wore

I just found out that April is normally one of the windiest months

here in Minnesota! And that is why, once again I'm indoors

for my photos. I just hate trying to take pix, when the wind is

blowing! My hair is all over the place, and the skirt goes flying up!

I decided to use red accents with my rose floral dress,

and cardigan for warmth. But I think the next time I wear it

I will be trading a sweater for sandals. It's supposed to get much

warmer this week. Soon I may have some pix of blossoming trees

to show you!

More Wildlife Sightings

Last week it was a wild turkey, 

this week we saw a hawk in our back yard.

It was so exciting!

 

 He did some hunting while he was here, 

and had a little snack by the fence.

I just love seeing wild life so close.

Especially in my own back yard!

but then I have always been partial to daisies!

And it's also my favorite color combo.

I think this would be adorable on a denim shirt

or a pretty summer dress.

Spring Turkey

 Spring is definitely making an appearance,

the willow tree is covered in pretty green buds.

We finally got some much needed rain the other day,

so the grass is greening up, the ducks are back,

and cardinals are making a nest near our back yard.

Of course, I wasn't expecting to see a turkey in my back yard!

We have seen a flock of wild turkeys in the area,

but I was a little surprised to see this lovely lady

 peering through my office window.

She didn't stay long, 

but I did manage to get a few good photos.

And then she flew over the fence!

Working on a new cottage pin

customizable pin. 

 Also started crocheting butterflies 

for my summer decor.

What I Wore

Ah, it was one of those days that felt like spring 

and winter at the same time.

Warm in the sun, but with a cool wind!

So layers were called for:

While I really love the warmer weather, 

we really could use some rain. 

Instead we just get lots of wind!

"Wooden Shoe" Like These Shoes?

I would love to have some real shoes like these to wear,

but alas,

these are just teeny little wooden shoes that I hand painted.

I really do love miniature things,

although painting in miniature can be tricky!

But it was definitely worth it,
because I love how they turned out.

 Here are some adult wooden shoes,
to show what size the hand painted shoes are.
 The littlest ones would fit on a doll.

Then I thought I'd add the big shoes

to my spring display. 

As you can see, 

I also love wooden shoes.

I'll have to take pix of my other wooden shoes

one of these days.

Egg-cellent Color

 Hope you had a nice Easter,

we had a nice quiet one.

Not a lot of cooking and baking,

but we did color some eggs.

It's always fun to play around 

with the different colors. 

 

They aren't perfect, 

but that's what I love about them.

What I've Been Working On

Finally getting around to painting 

some little wooden shoes 

that I found a while ago.

 

Also working on spring cleaning 

in my studio.

 

 And spotted our stray cat

hanging out in our play area,

right at the top of the slide!
