My Place and Yours week 2

This weeks theme for Pip's game is "bedside", so here is my little nightstand. I found the nightstand (there are two) at an antique sale. I found the vintage lamp shade at the thrift store and added it to a base I already had. It's such a small lamp, that I raised it up on a cake stand and some books. There's also a vintage record cover, the book "mrs. 'arris goes to paris" (I loved this book, you should read it if you haven't), and a little mid century mod pitcher that I got from the thrift store too. Above that is a frame that I fitted a piece of corkboard into, painted and then stuck a bunch of my vintage pins into.

They are all sitting on top of a vintage head scarf.

I had an audience during my "photo shoot", see below:

bye for now!

How bright and colourful! I really like the cake stand which lifts the height of the lamp. I too have the same problem with my lamp. But cannot find another that I like anywhere which is a tad taller, so cake stand or books it may have to be. Great idea!

A gorgeous bedside! I love the colours. I am a sucker for those egg shell blues and minty greens too. It's very sweet.
