This ballerina is called "Sugar Plum Fairy". I found some great velvety white leaves at an estate sale for the medallion on her cone.
The second one is called "Snowflake Queen", and I gave her a nice showy crown. She has a pearl scepter and pearls around the base of her basket.
I hope to be posting some items on Etsy for Christmas, but will only be on for a couple of weeks, whether they sell or not. Will probably get them on by the weekend. Bye for now! :)

Happy Thanksgiving Day!
Just hoping everyone had a wonderful day! Ours was nice and quiet and relaxing (to rest up for tomorrow!), and we decided not to do a big meal since it was just the three of us. But I still wanted the table to look nice, so I set out my brown transferware and amber goblets. Sabrina supplied the centerpiece, a beautiful scarecrow she made at school! Have a great holiday weekend everyone! Bye for now!

Nutcracker Christmas on Ebay
Finally got around to posting pix of my new Christmas items for Ebay! I'm so excited about my collection this year, as I was inspired by the Nutcracker display that we saw at Macy's . The first piece is "waltz of the flower" fairy, on top of a card board cone. She holds a vintage bottle brush tree. As you can see in the close up below, I added a little tiara for her. Isn't she sweet!
This is one of two "petticoat" trees I did with ruffles of vintage crepe paper, that reminds me of a petticoat. This on is pink with silver tinsel stem for garland and vintage silver mercury glass beads, cream lace bows and vintage silver dennison star stickers for decorations.
The tree stands on a box with pink polka dots and on top is a vintage plastic angel that I altered with paint and glitter.
I made two sets of treat baskets in pink and cream with silver tinsel stem for handles.

Here is the second set. This is the cream petticoat tree, that has a flocked bird on top. There are vintage pink tulle bows. Hope you like everything, and can visit them at Ebay. The auctions end on this Sunday night, so after a busy Thanksgiving weekend, maybe you can take a look! Bye for now!

Sneak peek
Below is a sneak peek of a what I've been working on for Christmas on Ebay. Check back this evening to see everything.
Above and below are pix of a little party hat I did for Jenny Heid of Everyday is a Holiday. Her birthday was in October so I sent a package of goodies including this hat.
Here are my latest finds at the thrift store, where I found an abundance of great vintage cookie tins! And the little metal frame and the old bottle. Bye for now!

Nutcracker at Macy's
This last weekend, we did one of our favorite holiday traditions. We headed over to Macy's in downtown Minneapolis for the annual holiday diplay that they do on the eighth floor. This will be the 45th year for the display, but the first one as Macy's. This used to be a department store called Daytons, and then it was Marshall Fields and now Macy's. The theme this year was "the Nutcracker", and it was wonderful! The first scene is Clara meeting her godfather Drosselmayer. The picture below shows some of the mechanical toys he brought.
This next pic is of Clara dreaming that the mice are attacking her. She is holding the nutcraker that Drosselmeyer gave her.
The nutcracker has become real and battles with the Mouse King under the Christmas tree in the picture below.
The nutcracker is injured, but Clara saves him and is crowned Princess.
The nutcracker takes Clara to the kingdom of Candy to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.

This is the skirt of Jolly Mother Ginger opening to reveal the Punch Puppets.
The nutcracker Prince is dancing with the Sugar Plum Fairy on top of the cake.
We always take pics after and go buy a cookie, this year it was a gingerbread man. Sabrina and I pose in this pic. Here is Sabrina and Rob. Afterwards we ate lunch, bought a Chirstmas ornament and went to Barnes and Noble for awhile. I was a lovely day! bye for now!

Fall decor
Changed over my shelves from Halloween to fall, so I took some pix right away. Won't be long before I'll be changing to Christmas. The top pic shows a better view of the chalkware owl I got through Ebay. Just love her!
Even though it was a little late this year, the maple is just about done dropping it's leaves. Hate to see them go! They look like a puddle of butterscotch on the ground! Bye for now! :)

Tricks or Treats!
Here is Sabrina all ready for trick or treating in her skeleton costume. I made it out of a pair of black sweatpants and sweatshirt that I painted bones on. I also went over the white paint with glow-in-the-dark paint.
I also painted her face, and then decided to do mine too, for the fun of it. Even though I didn't go out with her trick-or-treating. Daddy went with her this time.
Here are my latest finds at the thrift store, was ecstatic to find those shabby chic prints of the pretty ladies. My grandma had some like these, so I have fond memories. Found another apothecary jar, more seam binding, a metal frame and last but not least, the squirrel planter. I couldn't pass up the little nutkin, when I saw he was only $1.70! He looks great with my fall decorations! Bye for now!
