Thrifty shower curtain!

Sometimes, (most of the time) when I buy something at an estate sale
I'm not really sure what I'll do with it.
Especially sheets.
So when I found this wonderfully bright and sunshiny sheet,
I knew I had to have it
even if I didn't know for sure what it would become.
At first I just laid it on my bed as sort of a coverlet.
But then I realized it would make a perfect shower curtain!

Mostly it was an easy task, it just needed a little be of trimming and hemming on one side,
and I sewed on blue lace bias tape to the top and white to the bottom to add some interest.
The only fly in the ointment was how to hang it!
I don't have a button setting on my mini sewing machine,
and I didn't want to do grommets.
So at first I used clothes pins to attatch it to the shower curtain liner.
Not the best look, but okay.
Then I got new shower curtain rings that are thin metal loops,
and I realized I could attatch large safety pins to the shower curtain
and then to the loops.
They don't really stand out, and it was a really cheap solution!
Bye for now!
